Cousins! Pretty Vee aint letting the haters rain on her parade following news that she recently received her honorary degree!
Vee took to Instagram live earlier this week to address negative comments online while also encourage others to keep their faith at the forefront.
According to Vee’s post she received the honor from Global International Alliance as they awarded her a degree in Humanitarianism for her philanthropy efforts.
“The Bible says the blessings of the Lord maketh rich and addeth no sorrows, Today I honor God for every blessing he’s bestowed upon my life. I pray he continues to guide me and lead me to walk in obedience so I will eat the good of the land. I thank him today for the fruits of the spirit showing up right in front of my very eyes,” wrote Vee.
Folks on social media expressed that honorary degrees should be banned as it undermines the hard work student spend years committing to.
In response Vee said despite folks attempt to downplay her accomplishments she is more than qualified.
A“The last pic got a lot of y’all mad, but let me tell you something. God will choose the foolish things to shame the wise. So when God qualifies you, he qualifies you. He qualifies you for higher…it’s acceleration season. It’s your excel season. So don’t let nobody tell you that you can’t do and you can’t be a part of anything,” said Vee.
The multi-hyphenated talent says that she is not sharing additional details on how she received her degree.
“Just because someone does skits and music and this and that, don’t you know God can use those people to make something outta them,” Vee stated. “People don’t understand that God can change your life in about a second nowadays, and he been doing it for a long time. So, at the end of the day, I don’t have to prove anything to anybody.”
