Cousins! It is officially lit! Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are linking up one more time to deliver ‘Freaky Friday’ sequel!

Disney Studios announced earlier this week on social media that the film is currently in production. “The Colemans are back and coming to theaters in 2025! The sequel to Freaky Friday is now in production.”

According to reports from Fox News, leading actresses Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are set to reprise their roles from the original 2003 film. “Anna Coleman and her mother Tess are in another predicament when they swap bodies with Anna’s daughter. Now it’s up to the three to reverse the body swap,” reads the described plot from IMDB.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Lindsay described the highly anticipated film and her longtime friendship with Jamie.

“It’s going to be a really freaky Friday,” said Lindsay. “Much freakier than you would expect.”

“It’s fantastic,” Lindsay reflected on reconnecting with her fellow castmates. “We all just have so much fun and it’s so great to have that on set. You just always really want to have a good time. So it’s a lot of love, a lot of fun, a lot of laughs and it’s a great experience right now.”

“Jamie and I have stayed in touch over the years,” she said. “They always say when you have a best friend or someone that you’re really close with, if you cannot see them for years and years, but when you see them again, it’s like you’ve never separated.”

“Freaky Friday 2” is debut in theaters in 2025.
