Cousins! Now that the cat is officially out of the bag DDG is sharing with fans his and Halle Bailey‘s journey of keeping their son Halo a secret from the world!
In a Q&A with fans on Snap Chat, DDG was asked how hard was it for him to keep the big news off social media. The rapper revealed that it was more difficult for him than Halle to keep his journey of becoming a dad offline.
“It wasn’t that hard. It was harder for me than it was for her for sure because she doesn’t really be on social media like I do. Social media is what I do. It’s why I’m here today,” said DDG.
DDG says that Halle doesn’t really deal with social media too much while he on the other hand has utilized social media as a tool within his rise to fame. He went on to express that though it was a transition for him initially, keeping Halo a secret helped them to enjoy their privacy.
“This is one of my biggest accomplishments and I wasn’t able to show it for real for real but it was for a better cause ’cause people weird,” DDG added. “People are way too much in my business, our business, at this point in time. So, definitely for the better and it made it a lot easier, bringing him into the world without a bunch of opinions.”
As we previously reported the couple announced the birth of their boy Halo on Instagram earlier this month.
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ,” wrote Halle, “the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️”
“My biggest blessing by far 👶🏽❤️ son son.. never been so in love,” wrote DDG.
Following the couple’s big news they were met with major scrutiny as social media users attacked them for calling fans delusional after previously accusing Halle of being pregnant.
