Keke Palmer has officially filed for joint and legal custody of her son along with a restraining order against her estranged boyfriend Darius Jackson!
According to court documents obtained by US Weekly, Keke has alleged that Darius has been abusing her throughout the course of their two year relationship.
Reports detail that Keke has security camera footage from her home in connection to a November 5th incident. The 30-year-old says that Darius, “trespassed into my home without my knowledge or consent” and “threatened” her before “lunging for my neck, striking me, throwing me over the couch, and stealing my phone.”
Keke says that physical abuse on Darius’ behalf continued on numerous instances. She accuses him of, “destroying my personal property, including diaries and prescription eyeglasses, throwing my belongings into the street, throwing my car keys to prevent me from driving away, hitting [me] in front of our son, spewing profanities about me to our son, threatening to kill himself with a gun if I left him, harassment, and other physical and emotional abuse.”
The New York Post reports that Keke is said to had end her relationship with Darius last month in early October, “primarily due to the physical and emotional abuse inflicted” by him.
Photographs obtained by Radar Online show stills forwarded by Keke of Darius attacking her in February 2022 and November 2023.
As part of Keke’s petition for protection she has informed the courts that, “I am very concerned for Leo’s safety with Darius given his violent, volatile, and jealous nature, comments he has made which have caused me grave concern, and the lack of restraint Darius has already exhibited regarding his temper in front of our son.”
She adds, “The abuse during our relationship was not just physical, but emotional and manipulative. Darius would “love bomb” me and make me feel like I was the most important woman in the world, only to get extremely distant and cold over a perceived insult to him.”
The actress claims that in the latest incident Darius showed up to her home unannounced on November 5th. Keke says he bursted into her bedroom with demands to see their son.
Keke explained that she objected to Darius taking her 8-month-old son to a football game.
“He lunged at me, grabbing at my neck and face, knocked me backwards over the couch, stole my phone out of my hands, and then ran out of the house.”
Keke says that she contacted the police and that they advised her to file a restraining order.
She also detailed a February 2022 incident where she says Darius became enraged over a photo of her wearing a bikini.
“He choked me and body slammed me onto the stairs in my home after becoming violently jealous and irrationally angry over a bikini picture.”
It has been stated that she showed him a photo of her workout results while at a friend’s party.
“In the bedroom, he slammed me on the floor and slapped my head from side to side. The next morning, he was standing at the bottom of the stairs near the front door, screaming at me as I was coming down the stairs,” Keke said. “When I was almost at the bottom of the stairs, he grabbed me around the neck and body slammed me back onto the stairs.”
Following breaking reports of Keke filing for legal and sole custody of their son, Darius’ brother Sarunas Jackson took to Twitter.
Within a since deleted tweet Sarunas wrote, “The most disgusting, vile, abusive, manipulative person I have EVER encountered in my entire life.. Abuses almost everyone. Y’all will see.. Just send positive energy to the babies.. Any child in the middle of something like this does not deserve it AT ALL. Wow. So damn sad.”
Keke’s mother Sharon Palmer took to social media to speak out against Sarunas Jackson deleted viral tweet. She claims to have told Sarunas that his brother Darius had been allegedly abusing her daughter and says that he responded by brushing her concerns off.
Keke and Darius began dating in the Summer of 2021. Together they welcomed a baby boy named Leo in February 2023.
