Cousins! Jay-Z is sending a major salute to his leading ladies for a job well done following the success of the Renaissance World tour!
While in conversation with #GayleKing for CBS Mornings, the legendary music mogul reflected on Beyonce and Blue Ivy’s continuous work ethic. “My wife, I know how hard she works.”
Jay went on to reveal that the Renaissance world tour is his favorite so far. “For me, it’s her best tour. It’s hard to really compare them, because they all have their different things of genius,” he explains. “But, this one to me felt like the “most complete.”
Jay continued by adding how Beyoncé’s storytelling served as a full-circle moment for their family. “On top of it, how inclusive it was, and the story of her Uncle Johnny, and how everything just came about. Which goes from Johnny, the ancestors, to Blue.”
The proud father went on to applaud his eldest daughter’s growth and her courage to perform in front of large audiences at a young age. “And Blue, what makes me super proud and I still get goosebumps seeing her walk onstage, is ’cause Blue’s been born into this world. She’s been born into a life she didn’t ask for.”
Jay continued, “She came up and sees 80,000 people. She’s 11 so she’s nervous. I know her, so I know how nervous she was, and I know how frightened she was.”
“But, she wanted to do it. She wanted to do it the first night, and we was like, ‘Okay, if this is something you want to do, you can’t just go out there. You got to go work with the dancers … And she worked every day. I watched her work hard. She had like a little icy pack thing on her back some days.”
