Cousins! Congratulations are in order for Waka Flocka following news that his hit song ‘No Hands’ featuring Wale and Roscoe Dash has officially been declared certified Diamond!
While celebrating earning his first diamond plaque, Waka admitted that he didn’t initially like the track and only decided to make it his own after receiving a direct recommendation from DJ Love Dinero.
“Thank u for letting me know this a hit brada,” wrote Waka within his Instagram stories “I’ll never forget I tried to fight you for playing this girly a** record and now look. Crazy how life goes.”
TMZ caught up with Memphis native and ‘No Hands’ producer Drumma Boy to discus his career milestone. ““[The song] felt special and I felt like the conductor,” he said. “I saw Roscoe in the corner and really one of the only people really locked in rapping to himself. I said what you got bro … go in the booth!!!”
He added, ““The rest was history … I had just cooked the beat up from scratch in front of 70+ people so it was like I was the DJ and once I got the people rocking, it was a wrap!!!”
Following the legendary single reaching Diamond status, social media users took to both Twitter and Instagram to celebrate in sharing how they still bump ‘No Hands’ 13 years later.
