Cousins! DDG is officially speaking out following a series of backlash he has received since the release of his song âFamousâ !
As we previously reported DDGâs song lyrics went viral after he seemingly revealed some relationship insecurities folks beloved he has over Halle Bailey âs acting career.
The highly commented song lyrics read:
âI been so insecure that I be thinkinâ you really be fuckinâ niggas you in movies with// But on the internet, I just be coolinâ it, but in my head, a nigga really losinâ it.â
âGotta be payinâ good âcause you keep doinâ it, I might just tweet somethinâ just to ruin it// I got a platform, Iâm abusinâ it.â
âItâs a couple things about your job I wanna know (I do)â
âWhen you shoot your movie, do these niggas turn you on? (On)When you leave the set, do yâall still text each other phone? (Phone) Just because they filminâ it, it donât mean that it ainât wrong.â
Halle stared in the âLittle Mermaidâ action film alongside co-star Jonah Hauer-King. Together the leading actors made several red carpet appearances holding hands as they pportrayed one anotherâs love interest within the movie.
Fans believe that DDG may be displaying deep end feelings towards Halleâs role. However the Michigan native declares that âFamousâ is just a song.
âThey’re calling me a failed rapper right now yea, so it’s starting back up,” DDG said. “I want y’all to know, listen, ‘Famous’ is just a song okay? It’s just music y’all. Just how movies is just movies, songs is just songs.
He continued, “Y’all gotta relax and worry about y’all own stuff, and its all entertainment. It’s the entertainment business. Relax, calm down, chill out you know it is what it is, I’m used to getting hated on.”
DDG has addressed public notions before as fans have pushed for the couple to break up based off his behavior on social media.
