Cousins! Martha Stewart is currently advocating for folks to pack up their laptops and loungewear to make their way back to the office as she says remote work will be one of the factors to bring America down as a country soon!
Appearing in a recent interview with Footwear News the multihyphenate businesswoman expresses her personal feelings in explaining that people that work from home can not, “possibly get everything done working three days a week in the office and two days remotely.”
Martha is amongst multiple business owners that are currently pushing for employees to return to the office since the pandemic.
The 81-year-old also went on to share her objections against chopping down the five-day workweek structure. Martha compared America’s current state to France in saying, “Look at the success of France with their stupid … you know, off for August, blah blah blah. That’s not a very thriving country. Should America go down the drain because people don’t want to go back to work?”
Tesla CEO Elon Musk shares similar views as he previously declared working from home is morally wrong. In a forwarded statment he expressed that it is unfair for some folks to work from home oppose to service works who aren’t provided the same option.
“It’s messed up to assume that, yes, they have to go to work, but you don’t. It’s not just a productivity thing, I think it’s morally wrong,” Musk said to CNBC, adding that “the laptop class is living in la-la land.”
Cousins, do you agree that remote work is a thing of the past and that employees are more efficient only in office? Also what are your thoughts on cutting down the common work-week structure?
