Cousins! Get into this! Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced a new product set to roll out at the top of next week that will allow users to purchase a blue badge!
Within a post shared to Mark’s Facebook page he shared that the new service, “Meta Verified,” will be a subscription based product that will allow users to officially get their hands on a blue badge of their own.
“Meta Verified — a subscription service that lets you verify your account with a government ID, get a blue badge, get extra impersonation protection against accounts claiming to be you, and get direct access to customer support,” Mark wrote.
“This new feature is about increasing authenticity and security across our services. Meta Verified starts at $11.99 / month on web or $14.99 / month on iOS.”
He also shared that the new service is set to launch exclusively in Australia and New Zealand this week alongside additional countries soon.
It appears that the Meta Verse is following in the footsteps of Twitter’s current Chief executive officer Elton Musk as he has also launched a series of subscription based products throughout the platform.
Twitter Blue which launched in December 2022,allows users to add a blue check to their accounts along with additional perks through a monthly subscription.
