Cousins! While taking the stand this week within the ongoing Tory Lanez shooting trial, Megan Thee Stallion has opened up about her inner most feelings surrounding the 2020 incident and the negative impact it has held on her life and career!
On Tuesday the Houston, Texas native was examined by Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta to speak on the July 2020 shooting in her own words. “I’m having a really difficult time sitting up here telling my story and having to sit across [from] people who have made up lies about me and having to [sit] across from Tory,” Megan responded when asked why she was having a difficult time opening up.
She added, “I try to be strong. I don’t like to look weak. I don’t want to give them the power that they’ve taken from me for the last three years.”
According to People magazine, Megan reflected on her regrets following the incident and the negative attention her relationship receives. “Not a day goes by without being called a liar. This whole thing is about who I was having sex with, not who shot me, and I don’t know why.”
She continues, “I’m embarrassed because I’m a grown woman hanging with people I have no business hanging out with.”
“Now look at how everybody want to view me…. How could I share my body with someone who would shoot me… Now every week there’s an article calling me a ‘hoe.’ “
Earlier this week it was revealed that Megan and Tory previously had a sexual relationship. She was asked in the past if the two had ever been intimate with one another, even as she appeared in an interview with Gayle King. Megan revealed in court on Tuesday that she had lied before.

Megan explained that since the incident her boyfriend Pardison is forced to live through media coverage and updates detailing her sexual history. “I feel disgusted, I feel dirty, my own partner is embarrassed.”
She goes on, “I can’t even be happy… I don’t want to talk to friends or family. I don’t want to live,” she said, loud but emotional. I wish he had just shot and killed me if I had to go through this torture.”
