President Biden has signed a new executive order in efforts of helping to ensure women across the country are able to access abortion assistance, despite the Supreme court’s overturn of Roe v. Wade earlier this summer!
The new order will help women to be able to travel out of state to receive abortions, as well as ensure health care providers comply with federal law that women won’t be faced with any form of delay in receiving care or advanced research/data collection; reports CNN.
Biden explained on Wednesday afternoon that the new order will help , “to evaluate the impact that this reproductive health crisis is having on maternal health and other health conditions and outcomes.”
He continues in saying, that the “chaos and uncertainty” of the Supreme Court’s decision has ultimately put, “Women’s health and lives are on the line.”
Today I'll sign a second Executive Order to address the reproductive health care crisis since Roe was overturned.
It will support women traveling for abortion care, ensure providers comply with the law when women require medical care, and advance maternal health research.

“Emergency medical care being denied to women experiencing miscarriages, doctors uncertain about what they can do to provide for their patients, pharmacists unsure whether they can fill prescriptions that they’ve always filled before, a tragic case of rape survivors, including a 10-year-old girl forced to travel to another state for care.”
Reports read that the new order was signed off the brink of Kansas voters abortion-rights advocates securing a major victory in blocking a measure that would allow the GOP-led legislature to apply new restrictions surrounding abortions.
Today’s Executive Order builds on the first Executive Order that I signed last month to safeguard access to health care – including abortion care – that was ripped away.

“In a decisive victory, voters made it clear that politicians should not interfere with the fundamental rights of women. And the voters of Kansas sent a powerful signal that this fall the American people will vote to preserve and protect the right and refuse to let them be ripped away by politicians,” said Biden . “And my administration has their back.”
The executive was signed by Biden within an inaugural meeting of the administration’s recently established Task Force on Reproductive Healthcare Access,
