28-year-old Woman Killed by Friend in a Uber Ride In Downtown Miami ( GoFundMe Included)

It has been reported that a 24-year old woman was arrested after a video shows her fatally taking the life of a 28-year old female who was allegedly her friend.

After a night out things somehow turned horrific. Two friends ending up leaving a nightclub in an Uber, what happened in the nightclub is unclear. The Uber surveillance captured the incident. 

Reports from the Miami Herald, allege, that Natalia Harrell is facing an account of 2nd degree murder, held without bail. At the time of the incident, around 2:30 a.m.

Miami police officers and paramedics responded to a call about a woman who had been shot and was unresponsive in a shared Uber. When they arrived, Gladys Yvette Borcela was found with a gunshot wound to the torso. She was then transported to a nearby hospital where she later died.


According to Crime Online, there were numerous passengers in the Uber, allegedly three women and four unidentified men. Of the two, Harrell and Borcela engaged in a heated argument that eventually turned physical, which led to Nataliareaching into her purse, grabbing a gun to shoot Gladys. After the shooting, the driver stopped the vehicle and the six passengers fled the scene, leaving the wounded victim behind. Allegedly, a witness in the Uber said that Harrell warned Borcela before shooting  “You don’t want this; you don’t want me to go in my purse,”


The men were later found and told investigators they ran out of fear, fearing they would be next to be shot.

Recently, a vigil was held in memory for Gladys.
