Remember this year’s infamous Academy Awards ceremony, when Will Smith defended his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith’s alopecia by slapping comedian Chris Rock? Well, Chris is officially addressing what happened on that night. During a comedy show in New Jersey, confirming that he is not a victim!
According to NBC News, Chris Rock is back on stage and is making humor of the matter instead of the opposite. The comedian says he is not a victim and made a joke about the slap hurting:
“Anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face,” Rock said, later adding, “I’m not a victim. Yeah, that’s— hurt, motherf—. But I shook that s— off and went to work the next day. I don’t go to the hospital for a paper cut.”
While fans and spectators were in complete shock at the time, Will Smith since then sent his apologies to Chris Rock and his fans and made an apologetic video to Chris.
Currently, Chris Rock is on a tour alongside comedian Kevin Hart. Tickets can be purchased Kevin Hart Tickets – StubHub
