A transgender woman who impregnated two women while behind bars is paying extra consequences for her actions!

Demi Minor, who was incarcerated at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women, has been moved to another facility. Edna Mahan Correctional Facility currently houses 27 transgender inmates.

However, Demi is currently at the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility. Likewise, Minor has a 30-year sentence for manslaughter and is eligible for parole in 2037. A statement reported by NJ.com reads: “NJDOC cannot comment on any active investigations. However, the Department has zero tolerance for abuse, and the safety and security of the incarcerated population and staff are of critical importance.”

Her transfer happened three months after this incident. Dan Sperrazza, a New Jersey Department of Corrections spokesman, also unveiled that there are three trans women housed in the youth facility’s unit. The Garden State Youth Correctional Facility’s general population houses only men. A year ago, New Jersey agreed with the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey that it’s best to house transgender inmates as per their gender identity instead of their sex assigned at birth.

Sperrazza told NBC News that “decisions related to an incarcerated person’s housing are made within the parameters of the settlement agreement, which requires consideration of gender identity and the health and safety of the individual. In addition, consensual sex between inmates is prohibited in the state.”

Since then, Demi has expressed that she was misgendered and abused by guards during the transfer. She was even placed on suicide watch after attempting to hang herself amid her move to GSCF, as per DailyMail.

On Demi’s ‘Justice 4 Demi’ blog, she claimed that correctional officers were taunting her. One of them even mocked her when she asked to be stripped-searched by a woman. She also alleges that she was beaten during the transfer. Demi was apparently called a ‘he’ over 30 times. 

“I have accepted that I am in a male facility, but I have not accepted nor will I ever agree to or accept that I am anything other than a woman who happens to be transgender,” Demi wrote online.
