Cousins!

When former NBA player Delonte West was asked about his basketball career, he couldn’t recall that significant time. But, while his forgetfulness of said events is unknown, West said he’s at peace with his new lifestyle!

During a brief interaction with YouTube vlogger, Shiakuroo, he also unveiled that he forgets he lived the American Dream.

According to Basketball Network, West’s vices took over his career. Before this, West played in the NBA for eight years. His time on the courts led him to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks. While he was playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James was also. His final season was with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011-2012. His net worth then was over $16 million.

The Washington Post states that West “spent most of his money during his career, passed on a few opportunities, got divorced, and sold his assets to cover his debts.”

After cutting ties with the NBA, West worked in a furniture store. He then became homeless and turned to drugs and alcohol. Despite having an outreach of supporters, West declined the help and chose to continue his habits. Additionally, he’s said to have bipolar disorder. However, many of his former teammates were concerned with West’s circumstances and lent a hand. Unfortunately, in the present day, fans can see that their services were denied.

Last year, West was arrested outside of a Florida police station. He got in trouble with the law for allegedly banging on police doors with a bottle of vodka and a can of beer in his hand and swearing at police officers. He was charged with: resisting an officer without violence, disorderly intoxication, and having an open container. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban did all he could to help West. West was also in a rehabilitation center before leaning back on his vices.
