Despite prosecutors wishes it appears that Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty has avoided jail time all together following a sentencing of probation paired with house arrest!
According to CBS Los Angeles news, Petty was sentenced today, and is ordered to pay a $55,000 fine, along with three years probation and a year of in home detention.
As we previously reported Petty, had failed to register as a sex offender in California. He was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in New York back in 1995 and was a registered sex offender.
After relocating to California with Minaj in July 2019, he was arrested during a traffic stop in November 2019 after authorities noticed he has failed to register as a sex offender in California, which is required by the law.

Again, Petty was arrested for failing to register in March 2020 and pleaded guilty in September 2021.
“We appreciate and respect the court’s decision granting the defense request for probation and home confinement,” said Petty’s attorneys Michael Goldstein and Hagop Kuyumjian in a forwarded statement.
After thinking she would get #Nickiminaj millions #KennethPetty accuser posts about him receiving 1 year home confinement and less than a fraction of what she sued him for to be paid to the courts for failure to register. No word on the status of her civil suit pic.twitter.com/8yOnHae6hT
