During Burna Boy’s time on Gillie Da King’s podcast Millionz Dollarz Worth of Game, he detailed his come-up story, family, and, most importantly, his single “Last Last.”

Somewhere mid-conversation, Burna Boy unveiled that Toni Braxton is getting 60% of royalties from this very song.

Braxton’s song, “He Wasn’t Man Enough,” is sampled in “Last Last,” so Burna Boy felt it was right for her to get her proper check. The Afrobeat star said this idea was mentioned to Chopsticks before he executed it.

As per BET, he said to Wallo267, “It was Chopsticks (his producer), but that has always been my idea, to be honest. I knew he could do something crazy, I just pointed that sh*t out, and he took it from there. That’s one of the most special creative processes.”

Burna Boy adds that he has no complaints about Braxton getting a sum of profit from “Last Last.” In fact, he hopes she makes a guest appearance at one of his concerts.

In his words, “She is taking 60% of the sh*t, so I’m not even complaining. Hopefully, she even pops out to one of the shows.”

As the discussion got further, both hosts talked to him about his rise to fame. Moreover, they asked about his accomplishment of selling out Madison Square Garden.

“It is a great honor to me, but at the same time, it is something that comes with a lot of negative eyes,” he stated.

Elsewhere, he declares to be a global artist and not just the son of an African.

“When you know that your purpose is bigger than any one place or person, then you begin to take life like that and see life like that.”

“Last Last” comes off his highly anticipated album called Love, Damini.
