While also speaking on his legacy, Williams believes he is actually not the greatest of all time. “No, I am not one of the greatest, I’m a perpetual learner. I am a student, because I’m always learning.”
Pharrell spoke a sense of humility, and inspiration. Even with his career spanning over 20 years, he’s still happy doing what he loves; creating and helping others create. When asked, ‘what is the secret?’ The answer was to be yourself, know your worth, and stay persistent.
Williams also spoke on his upcoming festival “Something in the water’ . Due to the Covid pandemic, he had to cancel the festival back in both 2020 and 2021. This year, he’s back and has booked a lineup of A-list musical performers with himself headlining the festival. Some standout names include Lil Uzi Vert, Tyler The Creator, Davido, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Chloe x Halle, Baby Tate, Pusha T, Mariah The Scientist, Rae Sremmurd, Teyana Taylor, Tierra Whack, and Dave Matthews Band.
