Former Food Network winner of ‘Worst Cook in America’ series has been found guilty of murdering her 3 year old through child abuse!

Ariel Robinson, 30 was sentenced to life in prison earlier this month after being a jury ruled her guilty of a homicide by child abused in Greensville, County reports E News .

Reports read that a jury deliberated for less than a hour and a half following a four day trial.

Ariel’s husband Jerry ‘Austin’ Robinson plead guilty last month to aiding and abetting homicide also by child abuse. He’s currently awaiting his sentencing, his charges also lean towards a 10-20 years behind bars.

“I think medical testimony in this case was incredibly heartbreaking,” Judge Letitia Verdin said during sentencing, per WYFF. “In my 13, 14 years as a judge, I’ve never seen anything like this, not even approaching it.”

As we previously reported South Carolina officials received a call back in January 2021 pertaining to an unresponsive child later identified as 3 year old Victoria ‘Tori’ Smith. Her cause of death was confirmed to be multiple blunt force injuries.

Court documents show that Jerry accused Ariel of beating Tori to death upon claims of frustration. Within a forwarded testimony he states that he walked in with her holding a belt and told her she went to far this time.

Hours befor the verdict was delivered Ariel took the stand blaming her husband’s anger on Tori’s death. She said he has,” scariest types of anger issues”.

However evidence shows that Ariel was the person that beat Tori and not Jerry.

“Mr. Robinson is extremely remorseful for what happened to Tori,” the statement read. “He loved her very dearly and he knows that he failed her as her father. He has accepted responsibility for his actions, or rather inactions in this tragic situation. Following this horrific event, he has fully cooperated with law enforcement and the prosecution to bring closure to this case.”
