New York Police officials are currently searching for the person responsible for the senseless car crash that claimed the life of a Queens, NY mother on Mother’s Day!
The tragic accident took place early Sunday morning around 830am in the South Jamaica area. An out of control stolen Ford F-550 pick-up truck slammed into another car while making a U-turn at 167th Street and 120th Avenue, pinning Florence Ngwu, 49 in between two cars in front of her daughter; reports the NY Post.
Sources confirm that, Florence was taken to South Jamaica Hospital where she died. “ This is the third time and they weren’t able to revive her,” said Florence’s niece Nnenna.
“ We’re all just devastated.”
She says that the family is,” in shock.”
The entire incident was captured on video as Florence’s daughter screamed “mommy” as she became unconscious due to the impact of the vehicles on her body. A picture of the man that stole the pick-up truck was also captured. It is said that the abandoned truck was located about a mile away from the incident.
Florence passed away early morning due to her injuries. Doctors had warned her family that she may not make it due to the severity of the accident.
The man responsible is still at large, no arrests have been made.
