Couins!

With the biggest drug bust in the last 16 years, two men have been charged after being caught in possession of enough fentanyl to kill 4.7 million people!

According to CBS News, on March 17, police officials pulled over a minivan leaving Buena Park only to make an absolutely shocking discovery.

Officers are said to have recovered: 821 pounds of methamphetamine, nearly 190 pounds of cocaine. Along with over 20 pounds of fentanyl pills. It has been stated that since a dose as small as 2 milligrams of fentanyl can be extremely lethal, authorities state that the amount recovered is, “enough to kill 4.7 million people.”

Reports read that , Edgar Alfonso Lamas, 36, and 53-year-old Carlos Raygozaparedes have each pleaded not guilty to several felony drug charges. Both men are currently in police custody being held on a $5 million dollar bail.

Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer says, “Fentanyl is cheap, it’s easy to get, And it is killing our children, our coworkers, and tens of thousands of innocent Americans who don’t have to die.”

Last year, Spitzer said he intended to charge convicted drug dealers with murder if they are linked to a fatal drug overdose.

Both men are facing  a maximum sentencing  of 37 years and 4 months behind bars if they are charged. They are scheduled to appear in court on June 7th.

Whew, 4.7 million people! That’s a lot! They had no business having all of that anyway.
