Democratic donor Ed Buck has officially been sentenced to 30 year in prison after being found guilty of fatally drugging two Black men with Methamphetamine in exchange for sex!

According to the NY Post, both incidents took place at Ed’s West Hollywood apartment.

Sources confirm that during the 67 year old’s sentencing Judge Christina A. Snyder explained that she had a hard time balancing her decision based on Ed’s philanthropy work and the support he’s displayed for the LGBTQ Community and animal rights movement throughout the years.

However she explains that the crimes he’s been found guilty of are horrific and are more than just an accident.

Reports read that prosecutors fought hard to get Ed a life sentence behind bars. Court documents read that they argued he was a sexual predator that strategized to lure young, Black, abused and homeless men who were addicted to drugs to his home while they were within their most vulnerable state.

The defense team requested that Ed was sentence to 10 years in prison which has been indicated as being below the federal minimum 20 years. They argued that he was sexually abused as a kid and that health problems led him to drug addiction.

It has been stated that Ed was convicted in the month of July following the death of Gemmel Moore, 26 and Timothy Dean, 55 in two separate situations. But official documents indicate that he continued to inject more men with exceeding amounts of meth and sexually assault them while they were unconscious.

A man by the name of Dane Brown was confirmed as being repeatedly injected while at Ed’s house in 2019. Thankfully he survived but he had to be revived twice. It was that particular incident that lead to Ed’s official arrest.

“Buck used his money and privilege to exploit the wealth and power imbalances between himself and his victims, who were unhoused, destitute, and/or struggling with addiction,” stated Assistant US Attorney Chelsea Norell. “He spent thousands of dollars on drugs and party and play sessions that destroyed lives and bred insidious addictions.”
