Cousins!
The sequel for I Am Legend hasn’t even been released yet and it is already one for the books, because it will not only star one of the industry’s biggest heart throb actors but two!
For the next chapter, Warner Bros will bring back Will Smith and newcomer Micheal B. Jordan which we predict will become the duo’s biggest movie yet.
According to Deadline Smith and Jordan’s movies, combined have grossed a massive $12.3 billion worldwide.
As of right now there is no indication of the plot or the director for the new film. However it has been stated that Akiva Goldsman, who adapted Richard Matheson’s 1954 novel for the original 2007 movie, will return to produce alongside both Will and Michael.
Within the original film Will’s character was placed in the nearly deserted post-apocalyptic city of New York amid countless Zombies.
Sources confirm the movie opened to $77.2M in early December stateside and went on to gross $256.4M domestic and $585.4M worldwide.
The announcement of the highly anticipated sequel comes after Will secured an Oscar-nomination for Best Actor and Best Picture for the fan fave film King Richard. Plus, winning at this year’s SAG Awards and NAACP Image Awards.
