Chicago rapper King Von passed away a little over a year ago and his team and family are working hard to assure the continuation of his legacy!
According to circulating reports, the release of his posthumous album is scheduled to debut next month in March.
His label announced that his next album, “What It Means to Be King,” will be dropping March 4th. The new album will be a follow up to his debut album, reports Pitchfork.
“Welcome To O’Block,” released a week before the rapper tragically passed. Along with the announcement, his label also announced the first official single .
Before Von’s passing, fans got a glimpse of the new single, “Don’t Play That,” featuring 21 Savage back in October 2020.
After his death, his team released videos for his singles “Wayne’s Story,” “Armed & Dangerous,” “Mine Too,” and “Demon,” that Von was a part of before his death.
In November of 2020, Von was fatally shot outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Downtown Atlanta. After the shooting, Timothy Leeks was charged with murder in the incident.
