Lil Nas X is currently in the hot seat following accusations that he copied metal rap artist Dana Dentata’s project promotion surrounding stimulated birth for his own debut album!

Midway through Summer 21’ Nas X literally had social media in a frenzy as he began to promote his long awaited album Montero .

Initially he took to both Instagram and Twitter with a photograph of himself wearing a fake baby bump and a caption that read, “SURPRISE! I can’t believe I’m finally announcing this. My little bundle of joy “MONTERO” is due September 17th, 2021”

From baby shower gifts and paternity photo shoots, Nas X went in to make sure his fans were just as excited about the project as he was. It clearly worked as the album effortlessly raked in major success

Fast forward to present day, Dentata’s legal team has issued a cease and desist letter forwarding claims that Nas X committed copyright infringement, according to legal

documents reportedly obtained by The Blast.

“I demand that you immediately the use and distribution of all infringing works derived from the works, and all copies, including electronic copies, of same, that you deliver to me, if applicable, all unused, undistributed copies of same, or destroy such copies immediately and that you desist from this or any other infringement of her rights in the future. It is inconceivable that you would wish to jeopardize your artist’s public image, and reputation by your client falsely claiming he created this copyrighted content,” reads the forwarded letter.”

Dentata took to social media over the summer with promotion surrounding her project for her self titled single off her album Pantychrist. She also created content based upon stimulated birth along with a sonogram and appearing within a delivery room.

Her attorney Perry C. has forwarded a statement in saying. “Lil Nas, desperate not to be a one-hit-wonder, swagger jacked my client’s music video story and stole her struggle sauce and artistic vision to avoid a sophomore slump. Dana is a genuine and authentic artist.”
