R.Kelly is currently facing new troubles within his next round of trial following reports that two of his attorneys have officially filed to withdraw from his federal sex criminal case!
It was originally a circulating rumor that Steve Greenberg and Michael Leonard wanted out, however both attorneys came forward earlier this month to confirm that they want out indefinitely.
According to CBS news this is not the first time they filed to withdraw as Kelly’s counselors. As court documents obtained back in 2021 read they requested the same thing in June.
It has been indicated that Greenberg told CNN that Kelly was , “insistent that we work with people who we felt would be rendering ineffective assistance as counsel.”
Despite already being convicted within a separate trial in NYC last year for sex crimes along with racketeering. Kelly is set to stand trial in his hometown of Chicago for charges related to him videotaping himself having sex with underage girls, and paying hush money and intimidating witnesses to cover up his crimes.
He’s also facing charges from Cook County prosecutors for sexual assault and sexual abuse against four women years ago.
