Cousins!
From brotherhood to supernatural activities!
Can you imagine traveling the world alongside your best friends chasing not only your dreams but also ghosts, potentially unidentified flying objects and whole bunch of other species that the majority of the human population doesn’t even know exists?
We closed out 2021 kicking it one on three with the multitalented best friend trio of Dalen Spratt, Juwan Mass and Marcus Harvey. Together the Atlanta natives make up the unstoppable and undeniably hilarious Ghost Brothers.
The Ghost Brothers are a groundbreaking group of trailblazers that have successfully created history as the first ever Black paranormal crusaders. Together they’ve embarked on numerous journeys uncovering never discovered life within the spiritual realm.
The gentlemen took us down memory lane from the very beginning of their journey through the last six plus years prior to Dalen earning his stripes as the Risk taker aka “The Bad Boy of Paranormal” alongside Juwan a.k.a. “Paranormal Papi” aka the suave, pretty boy of the group; and Marcus a.k.a. “The Soul Brother”
Dalen and Juwan tell us that their friendship turned brotherhood originally kicked off within their sophomore year of college as they were both enrolled within the prestigious HBCU of Clark Atlanta University (CAU ) .
We learned that their bond grew through them both pledging Kalpha Alpha Psi together, along with conversations about things they had in common, including spirituality.
In the next few years or so Dalen began getting his hair cuts from Marcus at CAU. Their personalities linked and Dalen introduced him to Juwan. Though they all became good friends swiftly, it wasn’t until one dream brought them all closer, ultimately embarking on a journey that would change their lives forever.
Juwan recalls in 2010 Dalen literally beating down his door one night with what at the time sounded like the craziest idea, “ We should hunt Ghosts”
Dalen admitted that none of them, himself included had any prior paranormal hunting experience.
Both Juwan and Marcus naturally had their own reservations about the idea, as we all naturally would. However in a year’s time the trio pursued the idea head on and began filming their very own independent investigations initially in Savannah, Georgia.
Now, the fellas made it perfectly clear that Savannah isn’t some slippery slope territory where everything is sweet like Sunday morning. Certain areas have intense urban legends surrounding it, in being one of the most haunted locations in the country.
Together they kept it real with us in revealing they’ve had hesitations as they began to venture out. While admitting they are even a little shaken up by certain instances they’ve endured in the present that may sound unbelievable to folks, but their vision serves as an endless motivation.
Dalen, Juwan and Marcus are shifting the narrative within an entire genre of not only television but story telling and perception that Black people have never been able to tackle before.
” There’s never been a time where you see Black men chasing ghost or anything out of this world on television. We started that scared and all,” says Dalen.
“We’ve successfully tackled an area of life that has only been sought after by a certain demographic and I’d like to see it continue on far beyond us,” says Juwan.
” Together we’ve been able to start brands and further businesses by taking the lid off a genre that our people don’t necessarily dabble in. It’s literally changed our lives,” says Marcus”
Dalen and Juan work together as notable fashion designers that sell suits under their joint brand of Loren Spratt. Marcus is well known as a successful celebrity barber that runs The Musa Lair shop in Atlanta.
They’ve also launched another business venture named,The Bro’s Gourmet
The gentleman are all grateful for the opportunities they’ve endured and the success they’ve gained together. They are humbled to be to visit countless cities, states and countries; coming face to face with creatures, spirits and even reflections that’s enough to make the average person run straight out of their socks. But with brotherhood on their side and Marcus as the get away driver in case things get a little too crazy ; we know the fellas will be quite alright and continue to be successful.
You can tap in with them and all things spooky each and every Thursday night 10PM Central for the series “Fright Club” only on the Trvl ( Travel Channel )
