Cousins!

It’s no secret, CNN has had unfortunate challenges around some of their employees going viral for questionable behaviors as of late.

Welp! Here comes another doozy. A seasoned, long-time producer over at CNN, John Griffin, was arrested last month by the FBI, after a federal grand jury charged him with enticing minors, to engage in “unlawful sexual activity” at a property he owns in Vermont.

NBC News reported, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Vermont said in a statement that Griffin will be forced to answer to charges. He has three counts of “using a facility of interstate commerce to lure minors and people, claiming to be their parents to train them to be sexually subservient”.

The federal indictment spilled a whole lot of mess about this Stamford, Connecticut resident. During his spare time, he was chatting it up with the underage victims’ parents using apps like Kik and Google Hangouts. The parents would agree to allow Griffin to, “train their daughters to be subservient to men because they are inferior.” Officials are claiming that Griffin’s belief system is that a “woman is a woman regardless of her age.”

Griffin acted on his beliefs with the assistance of these parents. He targeted a mother with two daughters aged 9 and 13, explaining to the mom she was responsible for ensuring the eldest of her girls were “trained properly.” He transferred $3K to take care of plane tickets from Nevada to Boston. Mom brought her 9-year-old to offer up to Griffin, who allegedly “engaged in illegal sexual activity.”

CNN has since issued a statement saying “The charges against Mr. Griffin are deeply disturbing. We only learned of his arrest yesterday afternoon and have suspended him pending investigation.”

It is not clear which attorney will be representing the 44-year-old alleged predator. His LinkedIn profile revealed, he “worked shoulder to shoulder” with former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo. Cuomo was recently given the ax from a reputable news organization, for unethically helping his big bro out when allegations of sexual misconduct were leveled against him.

Federal officials have stated there is a mandatory minimum of 10 years if found guilty, but he can serve anywhere up to life in prison for his offenses.
