Kodak Black has found himself ringing in the New Year in a bit of legal trouble following reports that he was arrested in Florida for reportedly trespassing!

According to TMZ Kodak’s legal team is currently arguing that the entire incident was just a huge misunderstanding. Attorney Brad Cohen confirms that the rapper was arrested early Saturday morning within the Pompano Beach, Florida area for misdemeanor charges of trespassing.

Cohen tells the outlet that the arrest was made on a bogus bust insisting of a cease-or-desist- letter from nearly four months ago. He explains that Kodak traveled to his old stomping grounds of Greenacres to kick it with his friends and also pay off the debt of reportedly 5 families from the area who had paid for Christmas gifts for their loved ones.

Cohen goes on to say that while Kodak was out there local police were called and took him into custody, he was later advised that he was in violation of a letter previously forwarded by Housing Authority.

Reports read that the letter was issued back in September following Kodak delivering air conditioners to families in the same area he was arrested in. Housing Authority officials weren’t too found of his charity-donation moment and contacted the Broward County Sheriffs Office.

Cohen says that the entire ordeal is bogus on officials end because Kodak was never properly served and that the letter was reportedly only sent to his record label. He points out that the letter doesn’t detail anything about his client being prohibited from the area; insisting that Kodak should’ve never been arrested.

Sources confirm that Kodak was arrested around 3:02 AM and was then released on a $25 dollar bail bond in a matter of hours.
