B. Simone Shows Support To Her Sister Currently Battling Illness By Cutting All Of Her Hair Off!

Dealing with the reality of an illness is never easy for anyone, from the patient to their family members. It’s an emotional and physical battle that truly takes a village to fight through!

In efforts of showing support to her sister currently undergoing a medical issues multi-businesswoman and social media influencer B. Simone took to social media in solidarity of cutting her hair off.


According to Rolling Out, her sister Jordyn Genevive is battling Topical Steroid Withdrawal Syndrome. It has been stated that the condition is an illness that makes a individual’s skin burn, causing redness, wrinkling, pus-filled bumps, and hair loss. 

Within the emotional and heartfelt clip shared to Instagram, B expressed her love for her sister and the challenges her sister faced privately. Jordyn also described how she has been dealing with dry and inflamed red skin all over her face and body. The condition became so severe that she had to quit her job and move back in with her family. 

In the video India Arie’s hit single, I Am Not My Hair, played in the background as the two shared the emotional moment with the world. 

“I did the big chop in the name of love I love you baby @jordyngenevie and as long as I’m living you’ll never go through anything alone. She had to cut her hair because she physically couldn’t take care of it anymore. My sister loved her hair and I hate that she had to cut it off but there’s so much healing in this.Simone says that her sister’s long beautiful hair was everything to her. Witnessing her sister have the courage to cut her hair, pushed her to do the same. 


“Jordyn, I can’t physically go through Topical Steroid Withdrawal Syndrome with you, but we can start this beautiful healing journey together. What better way to start off and cut off the dead weight? I’m so proud of you and nobody understands what you’ve been going through for the past year. I see you fight every single day, and you look beautiful to me now than ever. It’s just hair, keep focusing on your spirit. I love you from the bottom of my heart to the depths of my soul. I’ve never felt more beautiful and freer. Thank you to my sister for giving me the courage to cut my hair while loving her.”

We all wish her strength through this illness.
