Mega-rap superstar Cardi B has landed a new role for Paramount in her first comedy movie, Assisted Living.
According to BET, the film will follow Amber (Cardi B), a small-time crook that finds herself in deep trouble when a heist goes wrong. Amber struggles to find a place to hide after running from the cops and her crew. She disguises herself as an elderly woman and hides out in her estranged grandmother’s nursing home.
Recently, it was announced that Thembi Banks was set to direct the film.

Now, this is not the first time Cardi B has been seen across the big screen. The Grammy-Award-winning artist made her first feature film debut, in 2019 Hustlers with Keke Palmer, Jennifer Lopez, and Constance Wu. Also, the Bronx rapper appeared in F9, the latest film for the Fast & Furious franchise with Vin Diesel, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Tyrese Gibson.
