A Penn State sophomore has been pronounced dead after reportedly plunging to her death through a garbage chute!

Justine Gross, 19 body was discovered lifeless nearly two days after the November 10th incident within a landfill site as a trash hauler emptied its load, reports the New York Post.

Her mother Francoise Gross tells the outlet that her daughter, plunged from the chute into a dumpster where she lived at the Beaver Terrace Apartments roughly a block away from campus. 

Francoise goes on to say Justine’s roommate told her that she had met a guy two days before who provided her with “ a smoke” before she had fell.

It has been indicated that the unidentified man is believed to also be a student who lives on the seventh floor of the building. Francoise says that she was told that her daughter ran to the top floor and jumped into the chute after indulging in an unspecified drug.

“He said, kind of casually, ‘She came down and I gave her a smoke,’” Francoise said. “He said she had a really bad reaction, a panic or whatever, and he was trying to take her back to her apartment on the 10th floor“

Sources confirm that footage obtained from the building shows Justine exiting the 10th floor apartment and walking to meet the unidentified male on the seventh floor. Moments later she is seen exiting the apartment walking unsteadily but never returning to her apartment, she instead went up to the 11th floor trash room alone and disappeared.

Prior to the incident Justine texted a friend on Snapchat that read, “ Something happened”

Police in State College have declared Justine’s death as accidental but her mother disagrees.

“That’s just not Justine,” her mom said. “She would never do something like that, go down a chute. 

“They want me to believe she walked into that chute. I believe someone was chasing her, and she went into the chute, thinking it was a staircase.”
