Eastern Kentucky Hazard High School has been making headlines all week following photographs of indicated inappropriate behavior within categorized “traditions” posted to their Facebook page!
On Tuesday evening photos were posted on the high school’s athletic department Facebook page of students participating in a “Man Pageant” and “Costume Day” for homecoming.
Despite numerous individuals indicating that the entire moment was created in harmless fun, the photographs came off as alarming to many, as students are seen wearing revealing outfits and giving lap dances to school officials.
The most talked about portion of the entire situation is the fact that Hazard Kentucky’s principle Donald “Happy” Mobelini and mayor of the city also participated.
According to the Courier Journal social media users to local parents from both city and nationwide have forwarded comments of disapproval and outrage of the high school staff’s inappropriate behavior.
Sources have confirmed that numerous images have now been deleted off the school’s Facebook page with surfaced images of female high school students in “Hooters” outfits.
Board Member for Hazard Independent Schools, Aster Sizemore has come forward with feelings of pure shock at the actions of Mobelini. She shares with The Courier Journal. “A kid comes to school with a short dress, you know, he makes them go home and change.”
Sondra Combs, Superintendent of Hazard High School, explains that the high school has a, “tradition of excellence and academics,” she states that she hopes that “Man Pageants” will not be a repeat in history of the Hazard High Bulldogs.
