It was love at first sight for millions of moviegoers blessed to watch the 1992 movie, “The Bodyguard” starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. They witnessed their endearing chemistry and were hooked. It was a breakout role for the late singer that launched her acting career! 

As mentioned on Reuters the popular movie is getting “a reboot”. The script is currently in development and they are tight lipped about any aspect of the remake at this time. 

The Bodyguard,  “went on to become the second biggest film at the worldwide box office in 1992, and Houston’s rendition of Dolly Parton’s ballad ‘I Will Always Love You’ became a classic,” report Reuter’s.

According to TMZ, When ex husband Bobby Brown was asked if he was down for the remake it was a hard no; not just for him, but from fans of the original movie as well. 

If Lizzo has her way, she will be all in for the remake and willing to grace the screen in the starring role as long as her Bodyguard is Chris Evans, indicates CNN .

“The film was not only a monumental success at the box office with more than $400 million grossed worldwide … but the soundtrack is the best selling movie soundtrack of all time, featuring classic Whitney hits like, “I Will Always Love You.” reads reports from TMZ .
