The grim reality is that well over 800 students and staff members tested positive for COVID-19 throughout many NYC Public Schools by the end of the first week!
COVID-19 kicked many classroom doors closed, infecting many students (487) and staff (325) in its path, reads confirmed data reports from the Department of Education.

As the numbers continue to swell, East Harlem School of PS. 79, closed its doors altogether forcing students to opt in for remote learning to get their education.
PIX11 reports “Mayor Bill de Blasio has stressed the need for students to return to the classroom.
‘Kids need to be back in school for their mental health, their physical health, their ability to develop socially, and for so many reasons.”
Unfortunately the Delta Variant of COVID-19 continues to run amuck as the community struggles to manage the challenges that it brings.
