Please join us in sending our deepest prayers and condolences to the family of a pregnant Harlem mom that was fatally shot in the face while trying to break up a fight between two men after her own baby shower!

The tragic incident took place on September. 12th involving expecting mom Shanice Young, 31, as she attempted to stop a fight between her ex and current boyfriend.

According to Pix 11 news responding officers found Shanice unconscious and unresponsive early Sunday within the West 128th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard area.

Sources have confirmed that Shanice was a mother of two with a third child on the way. Her family says that she was nine months pregnant at the time of the fatal incident.

Her family members have also stated that the ex boyfriend identified as Justin Soriano, 40 stalked her and was waiting for her as she unloaded gifts from the shower in the lobby of her building. It has been indicated that Shanice had endured years of abuse of him and was trying to get away from him.

Justin was arrested Thursday morning in The Bronx, he’s been charged with second-degree murder, reports CBS News.
