Overnight Flooding In New York City And New Jersey Leaves Over 20 People Dead!

Last night’s historic downpour of rain including extreme and dangerous flooding in both New York and New Jersey has resulted in nearly 20 deaths!

On Wednesday night Hurricane Ida took over the northeast area causing flooding in residents homes and cars including highways and countless subway stations.


According to the NY Post , a young 2-year-old boy alongside his parents drowned in a basement apartment located in Queens. Another Eight people were trapped in a flooded basement apartments which lead to their death. In New Jersey 9 people died, including five discovered within the same apartment complex.

Reports read that A 22-year-old man alongside his 45-year-old mother were both found dead in the basement of their home located in Jamaica, Queens.
An 86-year-old woman was found dead in her Queens basement apartment. A 66-year-old Brooklyn man was discovered dead in the basement a Cypress Hills apartment and a woman in her 40s was found dead in her home on Grand Central Parkway near Horace Harding Expressway.

Sources have confirmed that a state of emergency was in effect early Thursday morning with a flood warning.
