A Florida mom was pronounced dead on the scene after being shot in the head by her toddler during a work video call!

The tragic incident took place within the Altamonte, Spring area while Shamaya Lynn, 21 was on a zoom meeting with co-workers when a loud bang rang out and she fell backwards.

Witnesses state that Lynn never returned to the frame of the video but her toddler appeared in the background shortly.

“Investigators determined that the injury was caused by a toddler who found a loaded handgun, which was left unsecured by an adult in the apartment,” reads a statement from officials.

The handgun is said to have belonged to the toddlers father.

“To anyone and everyone tuning into this story if you own a firearm please keep it locked and secured,” says Officer Roberto Ruiz Jr. “Incidents like this can be avoided.”

According to the NY Post, Lynn leaves behind two children who are now in the care of relatIves.

Sources have confirmed that an investigation is currently underway as the Seminole County State’s Attorney’s Office is working to determine if the gun’s owner will face any possible charges.
