Earlier this week we reported about a 12 year girl from Oklahoma giving birth to a child with a 24 year old male and him being immediately arrested for investigation after confirming that he was the father

It has recently been reported by Fox23News that the mother of the 12 year old Desiree Casteneda, 33 has been taken into custody and charged with child neglect.

Tulsa Police Department officials held a press conference to provide an update of their investigation stating that she had been charged with one count of enabling child sex abuse.“The family permitted the relationship, and there are photos of the family throwing a baby shower for the victim and the suspect.”

It has been indicated that officials learned about the pregnancy after the young girl was taken to a local hospital by Juan Miranda-Jara, 24. Officials questioned Miranda-Jara about the pregnancy, and the man confirmed that he is the biological father.

As we previously reported he admitted to being in a “in a relationship” with the minor since October contrary to Oklahoma’s age of consent being 16-years-of age. Sources confirm that while the 12-year-old girl was in labor, he was arrested.

Reports read that the 12-year-old girl’s biological father is currently in prison serving a 12-year sentence for first-degree rape. It has been noted that those charges do not pertain to his daughter’s case.
