A Virginia dad has not only put the P in ‘penny’ but also in the word “PETTY” as he dumped his final child support payment of $800 dollars worth of pennies on his ex wife’s lawn!

According to the 18 year old Avery Sandford hasn’t seen her father in years prior to the bizarre incident.

“I just turned 18. When I was in the middle of class, my dad came by. He had rented a trailer,” says Avery to local news.

She explains that her dad, “pulled up in front of the house and turned the trailer on so it dumped out all the pennies on the grass.”

The teen states that her mom didn’t recognize her father initially, “And my mom came out and was like, ‘What are you dumping in my yard?’ He then screamed, ‘It’s your final child support payment.”

The teen alongside her mom turned the negative situation into a positive and donated the money to a local charity for domestic violence.

“It’s not just my mom he’s trying to embarrass, it’s also me and my sister and it’s upsetting that he didn’t consider that before he did that,” says Avery.

“Turning around and donating that money to moms and children in need, I feel like that really turns this situation into a positive. You can learn from it.” 

Sources have confirmed that the father didn’t mean to embarrass his daughter but to act on 18 years of pent up feelings.
