Following the news that veteran daytime television host Ellen DeGeneres has officially announced she will be parting ways with her longstanding talk show; the industry streets have been buzzing with rumors that comedian and actor Tiffany Haddish may be on the rise of developing her own talk show series!

Earlier this week DeGeneres’ came forward to confirm that she will be wrapping the series up in 2022, reports Page Six. It has been indicated that her contract will be up around that time as well.

“When you’re a creative person, you constantly need to be challenged – and as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, it’s just not a challenge anymore,” DeGeneres told The Hollywood Reporter, in a forwarded statement.

The series ratings began to decrease following exceeding reports of a toxic work enviornment from former employees circulated throughout the media in 2020.

According to The Grio, nothing has been confirmed at this time; however a senior NBC universal source has stated that,“ Tiffany is a favorite, she has humor and empathy in spades.

“She’s top of the list to get a daytime show. She’s a fresh voice.”

Sources have confirmed that Tiffany has hosted Ellen’s talk show before in the past year while she was was on vacation.

“DeGeneres owns the rights to her show, which is syndicated and produced by Warner Bros. so it’s impossible to replace her without launching a fresh format with a new host.’“
