After years of dominating the music industry from chart topping hit singles, mix tapes, music videos and albums Toronto native Drake is set to receive the prestigious honor for Artist Of The Decade at the upcoming 2021 Billboard music awards!
Billboard revealed the top artist list of the 2010s decade earlier this week consisting of Drake and numerous other big names such as Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Adele and Taylor Swift.
Drake single handily lead the list based on his overall performance within the Billboard ‘ Hot 100” as well as the ‘ Billboard 200’, along with nine No. 1 hits throughout his career beginning in 2010.
Reports read that Drake’s projects Thank Me Later, and Care Package ranked high on the Billboard charts.
The six God rapper also has six “Hot 100” No. 1’s ranging from “In My Feelings” and “Nice for What,” including Rihanna’s hit single “Work.” The rapper also holds the title for most “Hot 100” top tens, at 45, and most overall entries, at 232. Not to mention he currently reigns as the only artist to ever win 27 Billboard music awards, with 12 award wins in 2020 alone.
Drake is also a finalist in seven categories for ceremony including artist of the year.
