Family and close friends gathered together on Sunday to send off the legendary rapper DMX at his official home going service in Brooklyn, New York!

The private funeral service was held at a church in New York City amongst DMX’s loved ones.

DMX also known as Earl Simmons children took the stage in honor of their father as they reflected on his teachings, words of power, priceless memories and bittersweet happiness that he’s finally at peace.

From poems to songs and even moments of laughter DMX’s kids lit up the room like only their dad could.

The rapper’s ex wife Tashera Simmons and fiancé Desiree Lindstrom also shared a heartfelt moment as they embraced one another while also speaking of the loving bond of the relationship they each had with him.

The Yonker’s native longtime friend Swizz Beatz took the stage alongside the Ruff Ryders motorcycle group as he shed light on him and DMX friendship turned family dynamic.

It was a sincerely emotional service and uplifting at the same time to witness. Our thoughts and prayers forever remain with his family! 🙏🏿🌹🕊
