Cousins!
It is officially a wrap for long time host Sharon Osbourne and CBS’s “ The Talk” as it has now been confirmed that she will no longer be apart of the show following the conclusion of an internal investigation surrounding her comments made in support of Piers Morgan!
Sharon was originally under investigation after a heated and now viral controversial exchange she had with ‘The Talk’ fellow co-host Sheryl Underwood. Also following forwarded allegations that she had made racist and homophobic remarks about her colleagues in the past reports CNN.
“The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home. As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace,” reads a statement from CBS to CNN.
“We also did not find any evidence that CBS executives orchestrated the discussion or blindsided any of the hosts.”
As we previously reported Sharon had stated in a recently released interview with Entertainment Tonight that she had felt betrayed by her co-workers and blindsided by the questions asked in regards to her siding with Piers Morgan.
Following the news of Sharon’s official termination a spokesperson for her team has forwarded an official statement.
“The only thing worse than a disgruntled former employee is a disgruntled former talk show host,” reads a statement to CNN.
“For 11 years Sharon has been kind, collegial and friendly with her hosts as evidenced by throwingthem parties, inviting them to her home in the UK and other gestures of kindness too many to name. Sharon is disappointed but unfazed and hardly surprised by the lies, the recasting of history and the bitterness coming out at this moment.”
