Following the 2021 Grammy telecast, fans of the late Naya Rivera have taking to social media to speak on how upset they are that the singer and actress wasn’t included in the memorial tribute honoring celebrities that passed away within the last year!

According to People, Naya’s name was included on the list of of artist and industry professionals the music community lost in 2020-2021 however she wasn’t shown within the live telecast.

“ Naya Rivera was a singer, not just an actress. She was a two time Grammy nominee. Had a career that spanned more than two decades. She died saving her son’s life.

The fact that the @RecordingAcad didn’t see fit to include her in the In Memoriam section is disgraceful. #GRAMMYs,” states a twitter user.

Sources have confirmed that the official Grammys website indicated that not all music- industry professionals who died in the last year would be shown.

“ Feature an In Memoriam segment highlighting some of these individuals via a video tribute, and all of these individuals who died prior to its print date are included in the official 63rd GRAMMY Awards program book.”
