Despite being pushed back from its original scheduled released date of February 28th the highly anticipated Oscar nomination list has officially been released with an all new premier date!

The official nomination list was released on Monday morning which includes some of our favorite directors ranging from Spike Lee for his film “Da 5 Bloods” to Regina King’s directorial debut “ One Night In Miami” for Best adapted Screen Play and Best Original Song.

The late Chadwick Boseman is nominated for his work in the beloved Netflix film “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” alongside Viola Davis who made history as the most nominated Black actress in Oscars history.

Both Viola and Andra Day have been nominated for Best Actress.

Daniel Kaluuya and LaKeith Stanfield received nominations for Best Supporting Actor for the film “Judas and the Black Messiah”

The two times 2021Grammy award winning songstress H.E.R hit single ”Fight for You” from the motion picture film “Judas and the Black Messiah” — is nominated for best original song at the 2021 Academy Awards.

Leslie Odom Jr. has also been nominated for best original song with “Speak Now” from the film “One Night in Miami..”

The Oscars will now be taking place on April 25th in Los Angeles Union Station at the Dolby Theater.
