Aspiring Hip Hop and rap artists jumping at the chance to work with some of their favorite celebrities within the music industry have been calling out musicians for allegedly scamming them out of thousands of dollars in cash through social media during the pandemic.
Within a lengthy Instagram post a social media user called out former G-Unit member The Game, accusing him of DMing rappers with a proposed opportunity to work with him, reports Hot New Hip Hop.
The social media user stated that The Game also known as Jayceon Terrell Taylor allegedly requests for artist to pay him $1,000 dollars or more for a feature appearance or a slot on a mixtape.
The post also cites that The Game reportedly has a secondary SoundCloud account beside his verified one that he uses to share tracks. However the second account has a limited list of following which lacks potential exposure and is only heard by hundreds instead of thousands it could reach on his main account.
Reports read that the rapper allegedly released 7 mixtape projects on the secondary account in December 2020 with 34 or more songs each. The account obtains a total of 256 followers with each body of work ultimately receiving 5-250 views.
Multiple social media users have come forward at this time to speak on the incident and their alleged experience of being robbed of an opportunity including thousands of dollars.
At this time the Los Angeles native rapper has yet to comment on the forwarded claims and accusations.
