A Long Island, New York resident has officially been arrested for the hit-and-run car crash incident that claimed the life of Nicki Minaj ‘s father life!

According to the Daily News Charles Polevich, 70 was arrested on Wednesday morning following charges of leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with evidence.

As we previously reported Robert Maraj, 67 was hit while walking the streets of Roslyn Road on February 12th around 615PM.

An unidentified eye witness states, “He was bad, he was really bad. I looked through the window, he didn’t look good. He must have had a down vest, the feathers were all over the street.”

Reports read that after Polevich hit the victim he got out of his vehicle and asked him if he was ‘ok’, and then proceeded to drive off leaving Robert to die in the street.

Officials state that Polevich drove his white 1992 Volvo station Eagan home and hid it in his garage and covered the vehicle with car cover.

It has been indicated that Robert was walking in the street because the sidewalks were covered with snow.

“He was absolutely aware of what happened,” states Nassau County Detective Lt. Stephen Fitzpatrick said at a press conference Wednesday. “He got out of the car and looked at the deceased. He made the conscious decision to leave.”

Court documents read that Polevich made the conscious decision to avoid all intersections leading to his home because he knew there’d be cameras.

“He did things to alter us from being able to discover the car. We were able to track that vehicle prior to accident as well as after the accident and tracked it right to his house,” says Fitzpatrick.

Polevich was held on $250,000 bond and die back in court on Friday February 19th.
