Perry, 51 will be seen on camera receiving the vaccination as well as speaking directly with doctors to answer circulated questions pertaining to the Black Community and the coronavirus, reports People.

“If you look at our history in this country, with the Tuskegee experiment, Henrietta Lacks and things like that, it raises flags for us as African American people. So I understand why there’s a healthy skepticism about the vaccine”, states Perry.

According to Bet News, Perry is set to sit down one on one with medical experts Carlos del Rio, MD Executive Associate Dean, Emory School of Medicine at Grady Health System, and Kimberly Dyan Manning, MD Professor of Medicine at Grady Health System to address the public’s concerns and worries about the COVID-19.

The special will air Thursday January 28th 9PM EST/PT on BET and BET HER.
