The Dream Addresses Colorism Accusations Following Resurfacing Of Viral “ Signed” Clip!

Music giants Rick Ross and The Dream have found themselves on the right side of wrong recently following the resurfacing of a throwback clip from their reality music series Signed!

The now viral clip shows two singers battling it out to the beat of Ross’s hit single Ashton Martin Music.

Just Brittany, a light skin woman goes first and is highly praised by Ross from beginning to end as oppose to Kaiya a dark skin woman who received unflattering comments within her use of song selection from both Ross and Dream.

Social media users called out the music moguls as being colorists while accusing them of being apart of the superficial dynamic that runs the industry.

The series Signed is based in #Atlanta and depicts the journey of aspiring artists seeking to obtain a record deal from music moguls Lenny S, The Dream and Ross. Each musician must go endure a series of workshops, contests auditions and mentorships for a chance to make it to the finish line.

The Dream took to social media on Tuesday evening to speak on the accusations within a series of tweets.

He writes, “I’m sure every director and every artist or person who have saw me work and been around me know exactly how I prefer things. Black a** f**k all the time. With all I’ve done this is what y’all have for me.

“As a unapologetic figure as I’ve kept it beyond and taken falls for past exes even publicly to save themselves from things they have done against me and to harm my word and upbringing,

Lenny S. and Rick Ross haven’t issued a comment so far.
